Summer is my favorite time of year in Surprise Valley! We’ve been busy with workshops on the ranch, hosting our new friend Willie Canseco from Austin, Texas who is our first ranch immersion program participant, workshops in Mendocino County and moving cattle. We have a financial workshop planned for early August at the ranch. We hope you’ll join us!

Check out our workshop calendar for the rest of the 2015 events. Also, consider attending the Savory Institute annual conference: Artisans of the Grasslands in the Bay Area of California. If you register using this link, it benefits the work of the Jefferson Center. Spence and I will be there and we’re so excited about the line up of speakers and the chance to see our fellow hubbers from through out the world. Holistic management is an amazing movement to be part of–we’ve met so many great and inspiring people through this network. Thank you.

If you are interested in becoming certified in holistic management, please consider starting with the online courses. After these are complete, you must attend the in-person workshops and then take an exit exam administered by the Savory Institute. We can help you find the Jefferson Center workshops that best fit your schedule to help you on your path to accreditation.

We hope everyone is having a happy, healthy summer! We sure are thankful to be on the ranch doing this work. Thank you all for making it possible.
